Scarefest visit on the 18th!

Sat Oct 18, 2014 7:33 am

Today I am at Scarefest for the opening night. The mazes are booked and the plans have been planned.

I will be essentially giving a live feed on what I am doing at The Towers today via this topic. I will probably mainly post whilst in a queue, but AT'S free WiFi should make it easier for me.

Warning! There will probably be spoilers and I will warn of them with this: SPOILER ALERT!

Please comment if you intend to check this feed as I will also try the rides by night (Oblivion, Nemesis and Air are the ones I'm trying to do in the dark).

The feed stream will start roughly at 3:00pm when I arrive on park.

I hope this is interesting and insightful to other scarefest visitors.

I'm in the twirling toadstools queue after waiting 30 minutes for enterprise. It's very busy today! 75 minutes for 13 and 80 for Smiler. Nothing is queueless today! :P

Not even got in yet.

At the moment I am stuck in the queue for maze tickets (to pick them up). The queue is moving horrifically slowly...

Will hopeful get on Sanc and TOTT before 5:00... :(

Not trying it because the night is needed for rides in the dark.

At the burger kitchen now before heading off to Blivvy for the night ride.

Ok, I'm in the Air queue now. Blivvy was awesome at night! 10/10

How was it all together? Was it good or was the magic struggling?

It was great overall TheOutpatient, I'm just going to conclude now.

Air in the dark was awesome and probably the best ride of the night.
SPOILER ALERT!
A section at the end was in total darkness. That made it just <3.

Nemmy in the dark was OK, but they only let single riders do back row :( It was good, but was not as good at night as Air or Blivvy (I know I'll get hate for that comment but it's my opinion) :P .

Finally did Ripsaw and Rapids and they were both pretty good.

Blivvy Air and Nemmy only had 10-20 minutes queue and that was SO convenient.

The magic was there. But by far the most magical was Oblivion. No Skeletons (I think they are a little bit too cheesy) no lights, just darkness and the drop. Also, it was beautiful at dusk.

Overall great event and great day despite the error with the maze tickets. :D
