You cannot not enter the competition now.

Adventure Land Makeover Round 1

Over the past few years at Alton Towers, Adventure Land has been looking worse and worse, with the horrible clash of themes and poor selection of family orientated rides.
Your challenge is to create a re themed and new version of the current Adventure Land at Alton Towers. You may choose any theme as long that it is not being used in the park already and it must be suitable for children.

Rules and "must includes"'s.:
~ A family roller coaster.
No more than 30ft high and 20ft underground.
~ No water rides.
~ No "thrilling" flat rides.

Your youtube video footage should be detailed enough to give us an insight as to what the area will be like. A pov of the family roller coaster would also be useful if your computer is capable of recording one.

GOOD LUCK to all the competitors!
The deadline for entering will be the 9th of June.
Any entries not in by the 9th of June will be disqualified (no exceptions) and therefore out of the competition.

How the round will be judged is still to be confirmed.

I know what you mean, I have just finished building my family coaster and it goes too slowly because of the height limit. It is possible, though.

Nemesis Crazy, is it just the roller coaster that the height limit applies to or does every ride have to be that short?.

No your coaster must not exceed the height of 30ft. However you may teraform so that it goes below ground level or underground if you wish.

Other rides may go above 30ft. Including Spinball Whizzer recreation if you wish.
The height restriction only aplies to the "must have" family roller coaster.

I am liking the signature Electricbill. :P

C'est fini!

The rethemed area is 'SuperStar World' and has a robot/sci-fi theme. Spinball Whizzer has been re-named 'Spaceball Whizzer' and has a new station, whilst the Beastie has been replaced by the new family roller coaster, 'Deep Spacer'. Where the playground was there is a small shop and toilet complex, with a brand new, indoor giant slide, named 'Galaxy Glider' round the back of the area. Deep Spacer also takes up part of the space where Squirrel Nutty and the tent was situated.

Make sure you watch in High Quality!

Nice area Electricbill. I like the recreation of spinball whizzer and your family roller coaster great job. Not sure wether a large slide would fit in Alton, that is the sort of thing you find at Flambards, leaving that aside, a great area, well done.

The task didn't even mention Spinball Whizzer, I just decided to keep it in for my area. I hope it isn't considered against the rules 8-[

Also, it was the first video I have uploaded, too, so how was my editing?

^Well considering that you downloaded it from another web site and did not create it yourself you will be given a warning. As if I asked for a say a Nemesis recreation and you downloaded it from TN or ATA that would be cheating so you will be given a warning. So in this matter I thought that the recreation of Spinball was good, however it was not even yours. Two warnings and you are disqualified.

On a brighter note I liked how your video was edited. :)

I do believe Koopa-Troopa said you were allowed to download the Spinball recreation of Almanac?

Quote: ''If you want you can download a Spinball rec off Towers Nerd. :)''.

So surely ElectricBill hasn't broken the rules. #-o

But it's not Koopa-Troopa's competition, it's nemesiscrazy's. So surely it's up to him?

I'm sorry about that! 8-[

I really understand why you gave me a warning, but I was never told I couldn't download anything. When Koopa-Troopa suggested to download it you didn't reply that it would be rule breaking. So, I thought that I could save time and concentrate on the task NemesisCrazy gave - to create your own themed area with a coaster that you built and add any extra non-thrilling flats - which I did. I didn't break any rules (that at the time I knew of) - no water rides, no thrilling flats, your coaster must not go over 30ft or under 20ft.

Of course I wouldn't download something that you told me to create myself! I don't cheat like that, trust me! It was just because the rule I broke wasn't listed and Spinball Whizzer wasn't even metioned, I assumed that I could download it. Before it was mentioned, I didn't even know that it was available for download!

Many apologies to NemesisCrazy and anybody else who thinks I don't deserve a place in this competition. I have credited TowersNerd in my video. :)
