Well I've had a go at fixing my sign by myself. Two attempts and the third being successful. Here's the result:

I dont know much about custom scenery making , but what I might try, is use the "Grey Tinted Glass" in sketchup for the transparent bits. Its not so convincing up close, but from a distance it should look prety much transparent. Youl have to located the txture file in your hard drive & convert it to jpg.img.

Its worth a try.

Just a quick question from me. I've almost finished my big RCT project. The main attraction is complete but I'm adding some pyrotechnics and completing the surrounding area. One thing that I do need is a control booth like this:

Picture taken from captain's T-Rex

It doesn't have to be this exact one (although that one is perfect) but I need something to make the control room look like a control room.

Also BigAl: Nice sign but the polygon count must be huge. Also where you've put the yellow squares you can replace them with actual lights if you go into the importer and add a light bone on the page where you add the textures to the model. I can give you more detailed instructions if you wish.

3444 faces to be precise! Good job I only need to use it once. :P

I don't know how to add lighting. I've only just managed to make what you see in that picture there and that's taken me two days working at it but that's my first ever cs item. I'd love to learn how to add lights to it and if you could tell you it'd be much appreciated, Nightfall! :D

Actually 3444 is less than I thought. I know that one of mine reached 10,000 and that was using polygon reduction techniques.

I'll give you some help with the lighting when I'm on my main PC later. It's really easy although that sign will have a heck of allot of lights.

I think it has about 54 lights. Take your time though, my model is done, adding lights is just a great bonus. :D

My next sign has over 29,000 faces. Should I be worried? :P

i have tried doing multiple lights before and only one ever ends up working, how do you set that up.
i have been labelling and setting them up all individually e.g. bulb1, bulb2 ect

Well I have two lights on the front of the Wingrider:

Image

In the importer they are called:

simplelightstart01_flexi0_radius1
simplelightstart02_flexi0_radius1

Maybe you missed the 0 in front of the number. You'll have to experiment; I've only tried it once.

It is up to you, I have hit a blank, by the way 10 points if you can spot the drop tower.

Just a suggestion. The river rapids was a last minute thought. I love the crane, and guessing the drop tower is geniusly placed inside? The whole thing is very very good, I really like it.

Could anyone kindly link me up to the very useful guide by Diogo on creating a dark ride. Also, I remember a topic someone made with a huge list of websites where you can download custom scenery. I cannot seem to find Diogo's dark ride tutorial/guide or the other topic at all.
