Dingerbell's Coasters

Wed Feb 22, 2012 4:16 pm

Hi all...
I recently bought No Limits, and have been going on it quite a bit, and have created a few coasters that I can show you.
Please try not to be too harsh, as I am quite new to this (and will always improve), but I could look for some areas to improve in.

This is the first coaster I created (sorry about the supports)  :).

An overview of the ride.

A pic of the first drop.

The trains get quite close here...

A nice pic of the train going over the water.

My second coaster is a Euro-Fighter.

Coming out of the station.

A nice view of the lift hill and immelmann.

Getting pretty close here.

My favourite pic here.

Finally, a coaster that I have just started, a hyper coaster (haven't finished the supports).

This is the lift hill.

I like my headchopper elements  :D.

A nice view down the drop.

Thanks for looking, any suggestions and criticisms are wanted.

I have now finished the coaster (albeit not to 100% correct supports).

Forgive me for not using the proper supports for a hyper, but damn that would take a long time.  :D

I haven't done anything in here for a while.

Here's another coaster- and B&M inverted. As you can (probably) see, it is inspired by Montu at Busch Gardens. It has 4 inversions (loop, immelmann, zero-g and a overbanked turn/corkscrew thing). The supports are half custom, half pre-fab.
Not the buildings I made with custom supports (there not too bad).

An overview of the ride.

That is all- thanks for looking.

Hello again :)

Here I have for you another Eurofighter- but with a unique (I think) curved, more than vertical, drop. The coaster is called Vicious Wolf, and the track curls between a ridiculous amount of trees, and through hilly terrain. The ride contains 6 inversions and a launch.

The lift-hill with drop.

Image

The first inversion.

Image

My favourite inversion- good old immelmann

Image

A rare inversion on a Eurofighter- corkscrew

Image

A tight helix after a break-run

Image

The launch, and then a vertical loop.

Image

My favourite bit of the ride- a large banked turn over a ridge...

Image

...which goes to a dive loop, and into the break-run.

Image

And finally, an overview of the ride- sorry about the trees, but this really would qualify for a AT coaster!

Image

Thanks for looking- any comments are appreciated :)

A quick update for my newest coaster.
It's a B&M hyper, at 280 foot, and has many interesting turns and drop.

And yes, clearly the supports are not finished. :)

^I may finish the above at some time, though I am not sure if I can be bothered tbh

I was just messing about today and came up with this. It's a Intamin launch coaster, to 65 MPH and has 5 inversions. The layout's not bad, but the awful terraforming and extremely substandard supports let it down slightly. Anyway, here it is:

An overall layout

The first hill and a feeble attempt at objects

The first corkscrew

and the second

Some more pics

I will try and get all of the coaster's uploaded, but if I fail miserably, thanks for looking :D

Well I don't think the uploading's going to happen...

Anyway, I present to you another couple of coasters (one being a bit of of a joke) that I whipped up this morning.

The first is a woodie.

A few overviews:

Llllllllooooooonnnnnnggggg Helix

The 2nd lift hill

...and after it

Now the other coaster is a bit of a joke...

Surprisingly, the G's are fine :D

Thanks for looking

Looks interesting. :D

In the future try using tree's, it'll make it a bit more realistic. :D

I did on my first one, but then I realised I'm much too lazy.

Appalling really.  :x

However, I will put them in this coaster.

Which then goes into a overbanked turn

The zero-g comes next, after which comes the immelmann

Then the corkscrews show the way in

And then a couple of pics to try and work out the layout

Can't believe i'm still up but hey...

Looks like a great coaster! Nice & smooth with a well designed layout. I advise you add catwalks to the lift & maybe some custom-made scenery to make it more realistic. If you have sketchup pro, you can easily make models & save them as 3ds. files, then you can scale them in no - limits.

Also, I feel Silver supports & Dark Blue track would suit this coaster more, maybe add some tunnels as well!

Good Luck!

:D

I don't have sketch-up....
I have Wings- it's :censored: and really awkward to use.

Thanks for the praise.

You really should have been sleeping at that time ;)

I love these coasters, they're insane! My favourite is Vicious Wolf, it looks great fun and I like the integration into the landscape.

I think the newest one is a bit undersupported, or rather the supports don't look like they're quite in the right place. For example, the inversion directly after the main loop doesn't look like it has much support at all - particularly exiting the inversion.

Yeah, I kind of forgot to do the supports for it

Oh dear

Anyway, it was only a half hour job suppporting it.

I have done POV's for two of the coasters.

I will try and do all the coasters at some stage.

(apologies for the poor quality of the videos)

I don't know what's wrong, they work for me.

Edit- do they work for anyone else?

A small update of a new, unfinished, coaster that I've been working on (for 2 hours or so).

The supports are not yet finished, but the track is, and most of the terraforming.
