***Update***

I have some wonderful news to share with you - Willowside will see two *major* installations next season...hopefully. First off, we will be seeing a new roller coaster and themed area, featuring a "concept never attempted in the UK". I have no idea what this could be, but it sounds amazing. This new area will also see a balloon ride.

The coaster will be built by Gertslauer, and from what I hear will be on the lower end of the price scale. The plans indicate a eurofighter:

The area next to Parrot Pizza has also been fenced off, so I assume that this is where the new area will be. Very exciting stuff!

Updates as soon as they come in, but for now I'll leave you with some shots around the park.

The park has been extremely busy these last few months. These are the queue times on a "quiet" day

This is an excellent park and I love how you haven't over done it like some people do on Forums like shyguys where they put loads of CS in and it just looks wrong. But really this is a great park and looks really realistic. :D

And that eurofighter looks to have an interesting layout. :D

Thanks, Ryan! I really appreciate the feedback.

The eurofighter is actually built already, but I don't want to give too much away just yet. Watch this space  :P

***Update***

Greetings on this bitterly cold December morning. I have lots of news regarding the new eurofighter currently under construction.

First and most important of all - this will be the UK's first ever steampunk themed ride. From talking to other people here, this ride looks to be heavily themed and will feature quite a few effects. The coaster will be called Steamworx, as confirmed by the television advertisement last night.

Hopefully Steamworx will see its grand opening at the start of the main season. Work looks to be ahead of schedule for the time being :)

I must say that Eurofighter is looking excellent. I think that support work is spot on.

Again, well done. :D

You had me at the word 'Steampunk' ;)

Seriously, a very nice start to the park. It has a realistic feel and lots of quaint charm which is hard to build so early on. The Eurofighter looks very promising, I look forwards to updates :D

***Steamworx opening day***

Hi, it's me, Joe Williams. Well, what a day, and lots to report. Steamworx has been a huge hit with the public, and at one point saw three hour queues. I believe there were actors performing on penny farthing cycles, although I unfortunately I couldn't get down to this end of the park to get a shot.

In other news, Willow Wood has seen some dramatic changes over the last four months. The area has been landscaped and extra themeing added. The two restaurants have now been completed and are open for business. But most important of all, we now have another ride: Trapdoor. Trapdoor is a second hand mini drop ride, and whilst not particularly forceful, does offer some impressive views of the area and park. Unfortunately it did suffer some downtime earlier.

Steamworx entrance. The queueline fences run around the ride itself and offer some amazing views of the first drop and layout

The station and tunnel are heavily themed, with working gears and Victorian wrought iron fences

Fantasy Balloon Ride. Lots of people enjoyed this little ride. It does soar pretty high, so if you're not one for heights, avoid this!

Willow Wood themeing. The trees and foliage are starting to look lush now

Well it's been a very long day, so I will be off now. I'll post more pictures soon.

The Eurofighter looks brilliant. I wouldn't of thought that a steampunk theme would have fit a Eurofighter very well but you have made it work very well.

Also loving the rather simplistic, yet creative layout of the rest of the park and rides.

Keep up the good work and I look forward to future updates. :)
