TTF Pet Mugshots

Tue Jun 09, 2009 9:29 pm

I thought it could be fun to have a thread for pet pictures, as I haven't seen one I thought I would start one up.

Over the years I have had many pets. Going back to childhood I've been through 2 cats, a dog, 2 canaries, 4 budgies, a rabbit, a guinea pig and countless fun-fair goldfish!

A couple of years ago, my missus and I were pottering round a pet shop, trying to kill time while Halfords fitted a car radio for us. We fell instantly in love with RATS!

At the moment we have 4 of the little critters, all female. Look-it!
Image
Clock-wise from top left: Ezri, Lavya, Triana, Camille.

Triana Is the 'Alpha female', but is now getting very elderly... She's nearly 2 1/2 which is about 70 for a human! Ezri's a year old, and the little'uns are about 8 months.
They are all named after Sci-Fi characters. I'll let you try and guess which ones!

Anyone care to share their furry friends?

---- Post Info Added ----

I regret to report that we just had to have Triana put to sleep. :(
She had five tumours removed in January, but they came back with avengance... got into her brain. She deteriorated very rapidly...She couldn't even lap up liquid food, so best thing to do etc. etc. :(

RIP Triana Rat

Awww... I love rats, sorry to hear you had to have one put to sleep :(

I'll have to dig out all the pictures I have. I've had three rats, the hamster (furie - after whom I am named and who I don't have any pictures of), and several rabbits - The lop-eared lagamorphs of Lucifer who inhabit the back garden.

We have two fish too now, Squee and lellow (yellow in three year old speak).

Will post piccies when I can :)
If you\'ve got a problem, stuff a worm in it!

Diogoj, your rats are adorable. Very sorry to hear about Triana, I know how hard it is when you lose a pet.

Right now I have two rabbits, one of which that fits furie's description of 'lop-eared lagamorphs of Lucifer' extremely well.

I have pictures;

Frosty, the one mentioned above.

Image
Blue, who looks lightly demented in the above picture.

We also have a lovebird, a chinchilla and a tank full of fish that I'm too lazy to count. =)

I'm loving the colouring of Blue. That's one sweet bunny! (well, two sweet bunnies... don't want Frosty getting jealous!)

Here's two pictures of my old dog Sasha. They are quite old now though, we sadly had to have him put down 4 years ago. He was only 6 months younger than me and was 16, age just caught up with him =[ He'd been with me since I was 6 months so at the time was very hard to take! RIP mate!

Ceres & Anansi when they were two cute kitties - Not so cute anymore. They're about a year and half old now, so I'll have to get new photos.

Ceres is the all black one, and Anansi is the cute one. xD

We have a dog called J, too. Just J. Literally.

That's a little unfair to Ceres, isn't it?

This is my gorgeeeous bunny Thumper, who most of you have seen in the CAM WHORE Parade.

He's just too cute aswell. And has the ability to jump onto beds and chairs when you least expect it.
We also have a Neapolitan coloured guinea pig, Rebecca and a hamster, Sammy who is surprisingly hard to take a photo of.

Here's my only pet, my cat Sammy:

It's a he and technically his name is SammyII as our first cat was named the same. We got SammyII only by chance, my parents had no intentions of getting a cat, my mum's friend said a cat was found abandoned and the RSPCA were looking for a family to have it so we did. As he was abandoned no one knows his exact age but he's around 9/10 years old. He's done some weird things in the past, the latest one being having a pee on my brother's clothes  despite having him for 5 years and never have done that before.

The joys of having pets :P .

Your rats look really cute, sad to hear you had to put one of them down :( .

Me with my beautiful cat Jack! Apologies for the bathroom shot, I needed my foot on the bath to be able to support him and take the photo! Heavy! He's so cute though, with the softest fur and the biggest eyes! :D

She looks a bit like my old cat in shape and fluffyness. (mine was black and white though)
I've never really cared about 'breeds', But I would say Ellie looks like a....

....cat!

My musical rabbit, he was walking along the piano, and kept stopping to listen.

That's quite an old photo though, he's 8 1/2 now and couldn't jump up there any more, and he'd be even less able to get down again.

While he was up there, he decided he liked the look of one of our chairs:

Image
You can also see where he'd eaten the piano stool.
