Munich have been shockingly wasteful.

CHELSEA HAVE BEATEN THE GERMANS AT THEIR OWN GAME.

Congrats' they hardly deserved it for the majority of the game, a Di Matteo miracle. Surely the job is his now! Well done Chelsea!

So disappointed, Bayern dominated the entire match and it goes down to penalties.

Chelsea didn't deserve it at all.

On the plus side, totenham aren't in the champions league. :P

Erm, they didn't, Bayern dominated the entire match, and all it goes to show is that a few years of history and a tonne o money can buy success. And that isn't good for football.

I thought the game was poor - but Chelsea did deserve it, if only on the basis that Bayern Munich showed complete ineptitude in front of goal. In fact, had that been Wolves or Bolton out  there being that wasteful I would have found it poor - let alone Munich.

I am really pleased NUFC finished 5th now, though. I would be livid if we'd have finished 4th, as Spurs now drop to the Europa League.

Have Bayern just watched Titanic on C4 or something?

I feel a little sorry for Spurs. Not that I have any care for them as a club, but I know that it could just as easily have been my own team, Newcastle, who finished 4th. And I know how gutted I would be to miss out on the CL in that manner.

I don't like that rule. While I do think that Chelsea should be able to defend their trophy, it shouldn't mean the 4th placed team can't enter at all.

Maybe a play off game between the two teams at a neutral venue would be fairer?

West Ham or QPR?

Decide people.

I'd rather have West Ham any day and I think they'll just do better.

More Southern teams are in than the North now so let's get some out shall we?

What a game at Wembley today! And that's just the npower Kids Cup final before the main game which I should point out that the team representing Leicester City won! Yay, we've won something!

Blackpool were terribly unlucky today, but they paid the price for not taking your chances. I'm glad that West Ham are out of the Championship as it makes next season that little bit easier for Leicester, but I was whole heartedly supporting Blackpool today. The atmosphere was something I've never experienced at a football match before, simply electric. Though I must say, all the West Ham fans sing is Forevever Blowing Bubbles, it gets rather boring after a while. The Blackpool fans were tremendous considering there were 9000 or so less of them!

As for the Champions League final, there's not much better than seeing Schweinsteiger miss a penalty. A great effort by Chelsea and despite not really liking them I'm happy that they did win.

Overall an excellent day of football!

:)

And all of this "annoying WHU supporters", don't really know what this is about? WHU are by far a bigger club than Blackpool. It stands to reason that the club is more of "premiership size and scale". Not that any club has a divine right to compete in the top tier, and sure it's nice to support underdogs, but still...

Totally agree mate. But I personally can't stand Karen Brady and David Sullivan's constant talk in the media about how big the club is, and that it is their god given right to play in the Olympic Stadium despite it being just down the road from another FL team, but of course West Ham are massive so they can do what they want. The only person missing from their board room is Peter Winkleman.

The thing is, you won't find too many West Ham fans happy that Brady has her little section in The Sun every Saturday. It's cringe-worthy femanist nonsense combined with as much name-dropping as she can possibly fit in.
