Fri Dec 16, 2011 1:01 pm

I'm surprised we haven't got this topic yet. It's time for the annual TTF Snow Watch!

Current situation in Liverpool:

We had a light dusting this morning here in Hertfordshire, it was coming down quite heavily at one point, but it's all gone now...

I'm supposed to be visiting family in Leicestershire between Christmas and New Year, so I'd like there to be very little snow - if any - during that period plzkthx. ;)

It's been snowing where I live all day now even though we weren't supposed to be getting any. There's about 2.5 inches and some ice underneath it too. It was a pain to drive home from school in. :/

Cambridgeshire- We had about an hours worth of light snow this morning, & the small amount of it that settled was gone about 10-15 mins after it stopped snowing.

Shrewsbury - A light dusting in the morning, then heavy flurries for about 20 minutes in the afternoon. Neither stuck and cleared quickly. There's been snow covering the hills all day though.

Still nothing here, despite the warnings for heavy snow.

Less than half an hour south of Minte, I woke up this morning to find my faithful old Astra covered in a good inch and a quarter of snow. Exactly what you want when it's almost time to get going for work 45 minutes away in Telford.

The roads have been fine, and it was nice to travel on a relatively clear A49 for once without the usual incompetent numpties doing 45mph all the way to Shrewsbury this morning, but the hills have indeed been white over. It looks quite nice at the moment, but snow tends to hang around here for a frustratingly long time due to the surprisingly high altitude. If it carries on I'll soon get sick of it!

Quite a dusting over north Staffordshire, particularly on the hills. It all appears to have melted now, it will be hell tomorrow when it freezes.

Derbyshire, snow stuck from Tuesday, and was slowly melting until Friday's shower, it is good quality snow, but the roads are wet from the previous snow.

Nothing in the Newport and Cardiff areas. Further up into mid-Wales I've heard they've got a bit of snow.

All gone now. Had rain overnight and melted it all.

Sad times.
