I did one of those political compass things a few years ago and came out at -4.5, -4.5.  Just done it again and was around -5,-5

Pretty predictable, to be honest, but still quite interesting :)

That's mine. It's where I expected to be, though I find it amazing that an inane teenager like me even cares about such matters. :P

I'm not sure I like that quiz.

I admittedly did tick 'strongly agree/disagree' for some questions but what does that mean? If you feel strongly about something, should you be involved in the issue - making what you want happen?

...and I don't mean by voting. I mean, directly taking part in forming a solution to the issue.

I'm not involved in, say, making sure schools don't preach to children or forming an alternative to capitalism so...how strongly do I feel about it? When asked, I think "Yeah, pretty strongly"...but there are a lot of issues in that quiz that I simply don't think about until the issue is literally put in front of my face...yet I feel strongly when it is. :P

I was pretty much in between Astro Dan and Dar on the political compass. I think it's quite an accurate representation of my political beliefs.

Party wise, I tend to ally myself with Lib Dem values, but I don't support the coalition (but no-one else does either ;)). I am quite concerned that the coalition will lead to the Lib Dems becoming an increasingly minor party, until we eventually reach an effectively two party system. I don't think that this would be a good thing to happen

Not really surprising...

Image

Economic Left/Right: -9.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -9.49

I'm not sure it's totally accurate. For example, I answered the smacking question saying that I strongly disagree with smacking children being legal. Surely that's more authoritarian than libertarian...?

Here's the chart that shows the UK parties at the 2010 election:

As you can see, Labour and the Tories are really very similar in policy. It wasn't a Tory government that brought in tuition fees remember...

I consider myself right-wing and always vote Conservative.

Here's where I ended up... interesting!

Mine:-

Seems about right, last time I did this some years back, I was seemingly a lot more centre left.  I guess I have mellowed and chilled a bit since.

I also stand by my belief that David Cameron, Ed Milliband & Nick Clegg are really the same shape shifting entity.  :D

Really surprised me actually, I've always considered myself right wing, and could never bring myself to vote Labour, but it turns out I'm far more centrist than I ever thought. Although, one downside of the quiz was that it wasn't overly relevant to the UK, if someone could make one that had issues we face today in it, like the Nationalist movement on Scotland, the EU and euro, the cuts and the economy, etc, then I think it might produce some different results.

Hmm, thought I'd be somewhat more towards that corner, more in the region of -7,-7.
