Diamond Jubilee Discussion - are you celebrating?

Mon Jun 04, 2012 6:45 pm

So - have any of you been celebrating our Monarch's Diamond Jubilee?

Here's a chance to throw in your comments about whether or not you've donned the red, white and blue colours of the Union Jack, and partied hard in the name of The Queen, or whether you've been happy enough to watch the festivites on the TV from the comfort of the sofa with some food and beveraaaaahges :).

If you've partied, I hope you all had fun! :D

First of all I would like to apologize for the team. Maybe I should of been more clear about the topic.

But tonight I'm off to run a Jubilee Olympic Torch relay with 60 other people with my Dad at 9pm up t' Lantern Pike, Derbyshire.

I'd have felt a lot more inclined to watch it if BBC had a red button option of alternative commentary from David Icke. :P

No need to apologise Stelios. Your topic title was made clear enough in itself. Other members just unfortunately swayed it way off topic. Not your fault at all. :)  At least we have two seperate topics now though.

OK, I can allow GODDESS Annie, but McCartney? I can guarantee it'll be the same set he's been trotting out for 30 years, complete with borefest half hour long 'Hey Jude' and finishing on 'All You Need Is Love' but swapping the Marsellaise opening for God Save the Queen (see what he did there?)  YAWN.

BEATLES. Great together; atrocious apart. FACT :P

Anyway, on topic. Richey and I have loved Berlin, but even here we can't escape Her Maj: front page of the Berliner Morgenpost!

Annie Lennox is absolutely blowing away everyone else on so far, pop singers at least.

She's a genuine national treasure.

I'm currently at a party thing on a farm in Second, sitting in a shed and watching the concert on the TV. Ah, this is the life. :D
