Had a few drinks tonight and watched the concert on TV, was out yesterday at a street party and I have to say ........ I feel very proud to be British right now.  Its been so good to see everyone together celebrating and communities coming together.

Madness were amazing. Those fireworks were stunning. The entire spectacle was utterly divine. All from the confines of my own home!

Also headed out to the local park where there was the largest community gathering in several years earlier; along with parade, band  and a slightly smaller firework extravaganza. It's all been brilliant.

If that makes me patriotic, then I'm patriotic.  :D

The good: Annie Lennox, Stevie Wonder, Madness, Grace Jones, Prince Charles
The bad: Cheryl Cole, Ed Sheeran, Robbie Williams, Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da
The embarrassing: Lenny Henry, Gary Barlow, Rob Brydon

I thought Cliff Richard was pretty bad too, sounded out of tune

Wow - what an absolute spectacle!!

The projection mapping during Madness' slot, and then again at the end with the Union Flag (nearly posted Union jack but was reprimanded by Russell!) was really quite impressive!!

Feeling a rather warm sense of pride :).

I didn't see much of it, but I was very impressed with what I saw. The projections onto the Palace were wonderful. And we had our own beacon on the farm! :D

Awww that was amazing! Wish they did that every year! Shows how good our Nation is! The United Kingdom has the most beautiful flag in the world and with it being projected onto the Palace, it looked even better! The Queen looked a bit unhappy for most of it but we can let her off due to the sad news! Britain should be proud! I think with all the people watching that from round the world it will bring a good amount of tourism to the country! British and Proud!

just watched the whole thing from home, turned up loud, with a couple of beers.
absolutely incredible, spectacular, and mesmorising.
there were a couple of performances that i would call a bit poor, but nothing to ruin it.
apart form Elton John, he seemed to be singing with a lisp making half of what he was saying impossible to hear, which is the only thing that really  :censored: me off.
as i said everything else was amazing, and the fireworks at the end gave me goose bumps, they were sooo stunning

I thought it was a little dull until the Queen arrived, and Kylie truly got the party started! The projections on the palace were amazing, Prince Charles speech was quite moving and the fireworks were awesome. Except for them being slightly ruined by the Beebs commentary and eagerness to run the credits!

Also, Liz looked stunning, well as stunning as a pensioner can look!

Ah, I forgot about Kylie! When she was on, I was so tempted to get up and mince around the shed where I was watching the show. :P

I didn't watch the Celebrations live like most of you so have spent the last 15 minutes skipping through sections on iPlayer and just come across the projection mapping with The Madness so I have to say watching that was absolutely amazing! Shall watch it in full soon but I would say that's stood out for me alongside the fireworks and the ever so cheeky Rolf Harris.

:P

I've just got back from watching the concert live from The Mall! It was truly fantastic. It's not often we have a 'Proud to be British' moment - but tonight was certainly one of them.

We can certainly put on a show when we want to and with that in mind roll on the Olympics!

If they can get Grace Jones and her hula hoop into the Olympic opening ceremony, that would be truely spectacular!

Diamond Jubilee Discussion - are you celebrating?

Tue Jun 05, 2012 8:11 am

A fantastic night was had by me, AstroDan, Pedro, Mike and Alex being raucous and surprisingly patriotic at the same time.

What a show! Apart from Cheryl Cole (predictably dire) and JLS, I loved the line-up, and hell, it even endeared me slightly more to the Lord Lloyd-Webber!

I got back from a midnight walk to light a beacon on one of the highest peaks in Derbyshire, we could see firework displays as far as Liverpool, Manchester and Bolton! It was that dark getting back, that I arrived back at half 2. So how was the concert?

I didn't get chance to watch it live last night, but I watched the entire concert on iPlayer this afternoon, and I am in awe. Such a fantastic concert from start to finish, and the fireworks were stunning too. The projection mapping was very impressive indeed. I feel very proud to be British :)

Inparticular, I loved Peter Kay's appearance - "Please welcome Paul McCartney in conjunction with the Bronze and Gold Tanning Centre, Southport"

I didn't watch the full thing last night, as I was out and am not particularly interested in the Jubilee. Although I watched the highlights show shown on BBC One today and I did love what I saw.

It's just so typically British to all join as one to celebrate. The crowds looked immense yet there's something beautifully joyful within that.

Madness playing 'Our House' on top of Buckingham Palace was utter genius!

LOVED the projection mapping too.

I didn't watch the concert live, however I did have a flick through on iPlayer in the early hour of this morning. What I saw, in particular, 'Sing It', & Kylie Minogue was fantastic!

Loved Kylie she really came across well and was my favourite performance. When she came on it just lifted the whole show. Also loved the aerial shots of Buck Palace with fireworks and beacon etc.
