STOPtober

Mon Oct 01, 2012 4:42 pm

I've been smoking for over a year now and have decided that I don't want to rely on having a fag every day - So I am taking part in Stoptober. Many of my friends are keen to do this too, but obviously it's easier said than done.

Are there any smokers on here who want to give up? Are you taking part in Stoptober? Really interested to see what you guys think of this.

I used to smoke a long time ago.
Well done trying to stop bro.

Try an i-cig if you fail, my Dad loves em.

I have been a smoker on and off for about 9 years now (wow, i'd never calculated how long i'd been smoking before)

There have been times that I've quit for a few weeks if I've been ill or for other reasons (usually if I'm seeing a girl who is a non smoker)

More recently though, I figured that if I can quite easily go without for a week when I'm ill, then surely I could extend that and give up completely.

I've never really enjoyed smoking, but once it becomes a habit, its not as easy to stop, but I've managed it.  I stopped on september 1st so I've been smoke free for 33 days.

I feel so much better for it too, clearer lungs and not constantly coughing.

Good luck to anyone else thinking about quitting, it really will benefit you in the long run!

Good luck!

I had been smoking for 14 years till July when me and the wife decided to start trying for a family, I have stopped for 10 weeks now and I feel great!!!

Did anyone actually do this?

So many TV adverts, for a whole month! Just wondered if it worked?

It worked wonders for friends of mine. I personally am repulsed by the stuff, and this scheme seems to benefit many. I just wish there was similar for Alcohol...
THC selectively targets and destroys tumor cells while leaving healthy cells unscathed. Conventional chemotherapy drugs, by contrast, are highly toxic; they indiscriminately damage the brain and body.

Toke up...
