That weird stomach feeling

Mon Jul 29, 2013 8:18 pm

I have always wondered if other people ever get that weightless sensation in their stomach while riding rollercoasters. I used to get this feeling but now for some reason I don't. Does any body else have the same problem?

Thanks to Lewis for the sig!

It kind of varies throughout different roller coasters, I tend to find the first drop and airtime hills to do it, but nothing other :D

Apart from the very rear occasion, roller coasters never really affect me all that much, on the other hand, the Blade (and other Pirate Ship rides) allways affect me!
I was going to have a pic of Hobs Pit but I forgot how to make pics show up :(

This is similar to me Count. I think drop towers are by far the worst thing to affect me

Oh yes, pirate ship kinda rides get me every time. Horrible! Also get it on Blivvy, but with that it's kinda enjoyable

I get that weird stomach feeling on Rita and The Smiler, whereas the g-force pushes me into my seat on Nemesis and Oblivion.

I don't really get this feeling on coasters... or pirate ships...

That weird stomach feeling

I don't tend to feel it on coasters, but that's a good thing as I despise the sensation. Drop towers and pirate ships are my least favourite rides, I almost cried when my friends dragged me on the back of The Blade on my birthday last year. The small children opposite were laughing at the abject fear on my face!

all the time

There are some factors to consider with regards to your question about not feeling it anymore.
It may be to do with when you've eaten, whether you are clenching your stomach and also how much you actually weigh could have something to do with it. I'm pretty sure that if you relax your entire frame you're more likely to feel it.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed but this sensation is not at all confined to the stomach. I for one, have definitely felt that same sensation in the testicle area, so I'm inclined to think this is more about your general innards flailing around rather than what you had for lunch.

I love to go on Blade for the sensation - I find it almost relaxing (in a hardcore kind of way).
