Podcasts

Hi guys

This is my first time starting a new post - go me! I did put "podcasts" in the search bar and nothing came up for what I wanted.

Because I'm an old person, I've only just in the last 6 months discovered that podcasts are amazing and I'm working through some of them at an alarming rate.
So far I'm listening to:
  • Potterless - a podcast that follows a guy in his mid twenties who is reading the Harry Potter books for the first time. It's very funny, he does snark about the books quite a bit but I love it.
  • Ben Coomber Radio - fitness and diet podcast, loads of great advice on there about fitness.
  • Spirits - the hosts get drunk and talk about mythology and folklore. Also very funny.
  • Getting Curious - hosted by Jonathan Van Ness from Queer Eye, chatting to people about all sorts of things he wants to learn about.
  • And I've just started listening to My Dad Wrote a Porno (I know, I'm living in 3 years ago). Nearly fell off the bike at the gym listening to this as I was laughing too much.
I'm looking for some recommendations for new ones to listen to, and I thought you guys would be a mine of information...

I listen to loads of podcasts, so here are my recommendations;

Capital
Do the right thing
Athletico Mince
Adam Buxton
Dear Joan and Jericho
The Dollop
Unexplained
Lore
The Archers
Friday night comedy from the bbc
Comedy of the week

Some of these do contain bad language and may not be suitable for younger or easily offended listeners! Enjoy.

There's nothing wrong with a good swear every now and then! I used a load of them when on stealth for the first time...

I really want to listen to some podcasts as I feel like I'm the only person in the world who doesn't but I never seem to get round to it, I'll try to investigate some of your suggestions as a kick up the bum to start.

I'm not a podcast person, but I do occasionally listen to the Scaretrack podcast

I honestly don't think that I could do my job without a good podcast!

I listen to a few podcasts, you will see they all have a theme in common :D I don’t losten to every single episode of them all, however they all are great to listen to, especially as a Theme Park enthusiast - my favourite out of them is In The Loop mainly because it’s not a serious as the other ones and has like a ‘lads night out’ vibe to it!

In The Loop
Coaster Radio
Dedicated To Disney Land Paris
Unofficial Universal Orlando Podcast
The Dis Unplugged
Dis Unplugged: Universal Edition
The Frequenr Fear Podcast
Scaretrack
The Season Pass Podcast

Hey I love podcasts and listen to them while running, travelling and just around the house.
I listen to:
  • Coasterradio - religiously
  • Season pass - only the uk based ERT from Nick Hutson
  • Ride This One - sometimes (Explicit)
  • TheMossMachine Podcast - seems to have died but the 5 episodes there are gold
  • Mugglecast - sometimes
  • ILTMS No Instructions
  • BBC Radio 4 Friday Night Comedy
  • Couples Therapy
  • Alohomora - used to
  • The Learn Stage Lighting Podcast - probably wouldn't interest many

I don't really listen to the podcasts, but I know Defunctland has a lot of podcast episodes. They even have one about Alton Towers! Defunctland as a youtube series was brilliant so I'd imagine so would be their podcasts.

The one about Alton Towers isn't great, they get a random gaming YouTuber who hasn't been in 10 years to talk about stuff that isn't there anymore.

The WTF1 podcast is usually pretty decent, they have a good YouTube channel too.
